Metals Rise Again…for Now

With the dollar taking a little bit of a hit this morning on positive economic news out of China, the metals are also seeing a nice push up. Gold hit a high of $1665 earlier this morning, but trades slightly lower now at $1660. Silver is currently trading at about $30.35, down from its high this morning of $30.70. Platinum and Palladium are also trading considerably higher at $1520 and $650 respectively. However, concerns still remain over the Eurozone financial crisis. A recent report out of Fitch’s rating agency in Europe said that “Greece is insolvent and will default on its debts”.
